My name is Aya.
I grew up in Japan with the spirit of mottainai, a deep respect for what we already have and for using things fully to the end of their life. In a culture that values speed, newness, and convenience, I believe repair asks us to slow down, pause, notice, care, and stay with what is worn rather than look away.
My goal is to make repair feel normal again, for everyone. Repair doesn’t need to be shameful or hidden; it can be a proud, visible expression of our care for the earth. My approach to repair is flexible and collaborative. I listen carefully to your needs while also working from my own creative vision, and I welcome your ideas along the way.
Looking ahead, I hope this work becomes part of a larger cultural shift toward care, one where repair, reuse, and attention are passed on and become part of everyday life again. This practice isn’t only about what we fix today, but about the values we carry forward into the future.

Repair work varies depending on the garment, material, and level of care required. Below are general starting prices to offer a sense of range. Below are general starting prices.
